Do More With A Splash of Neon
Kuala Lumpur, 4 August 2016 – RICOH Malaysia introduced two new production printers – the latest addition to its four-colour production press, Pro C7100, and the wide-format multifunctional printer, MP CW2201 SP – at the 6th installation of the Print Technology 2016, which began at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), earlier today.
The latest addition to RICOH’s production print portfolio, the all-powerful Pro C7100, offers printing businesses the possibility of increasing their revenue, lowering costs and amplifying volume.
Offering best-in-class colour printing technologies, the device enables small and mid-sized businesses to create more revenue streams, offer more competitive applications and produce higher volumes with fewer delays. In other words, printing businesses can expand their portfolios further into the graphic arts market at a price point not currently available for this engine class.
“RICOH Pro C7100 series is a cost-effective solution that meets our customers’ needs without sacrificing quality. With the latest addition to the series, printers can complete their most demanding workloads, expand into new markets and execute shorter print runs to help grow their business. Printers can now create output that stands out from the competition by offering oversize prints, POS materials such as brochures and banners, printing on textured media and custom materials, at an affordable price point,” explained said Mr. Peter Wee, Managing Director of Ricoh Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.
One of the exciting features of the Pro C7100 is the addition of the neon colour toner that can be incorporated into the device, creating a whole new dimension for colour printing. Part of RICOH’s Pro C7100 Series, a series of 4-colour production presses, the C7100 is available in both printer/scanner and printer configurations.
Meanwhile, RICOH also debuted its latest wide format, fully integrated Multifunctional Printer (MFP) featuring RICOH’s innovative GELJET ink system – the MP CW2201SP. With an A1 copy speed of 3.8 print per minute (ppm) for black and white and 2.1 ppm for colour, it offers outstanding productivity and excellent image quality, and is substantially more energy efficient than comparable laser printing devices.
Powered by the Ricoh GWNX controller, the MP CW2201SP offers enhanced functionality and a range of options for customisation to suit individual workflow requirements. The device comes with an intuitive 10.1-inch Smart Operation Panel that offers full touchscreen capability, providing the same look and feel as RICOH’s office devices.
“Designed for the wide format market, the MP CW2201SP features RICOH’s unique GELJET technology, offers outstanding productivity, ease of use, enhanced security and eco-friendliness – making it ideal for small businesses especially in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry. In addition, the Ricoh large format Pro L4130/L4160 printers come with new environmentally-friendly latex ink technology to deliver high quality colour imaging, suitable for indoor and outdoor printing such as signage and outdoor displays,” commented Mr. Wee.
“As a total office and business solutions provider and the ideal business partner, in line with our brand tagline, ‘Imagine. Change.’ we continue to challenge our imagination to equip users with capabilities to empower their businesses without compromising on the excellence of output. Our latest products, the Pro C7100 and the MP CW2201 SP are testament to this commitment,” added Mr. Wee.
In conjunction with its participation at Print Tech 2016, RICOH also embarked on a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme together with the students of The One Academy, to design and sell greeting cards to raise funds for their graduation. Ricoh sponsored the cost of paper and printing for the students, who used the Pro C7100X and 5th colour station (clear gloss and white toner) to design and print the greeting cards. The use of the 5th colour station enables them to create a new application and deliver a premium finish.
RICOH’s booth at Print Tech 2016, themed “Open New Worlds”, features various solutions for print service providers who are looking for ways to seamlessly manage workflows, maximise productivity, increase profits and expand their markets. Visitors to the booth can also experience live demonstrations of RICOH’s innovative portfolio of solutions.
